Sterling City ISD is currently seeking an educational leader to employee as the District’s Secondary Principal. Sterling City ISD is a rural school district located in a ranching community 45 miles west of San Angelo, Texas. The District is a single-campus district with approximately 370 students in grades PK-12th. Sterling City ISD offers employee paid vision and dental insurance, a competitive salary schedule, and an additional $13,200 yearly stipend. District housing is available at $500 - $600 a month. Parental involvement and community support contribute to the success of the District’s academic performance and extra-curricular programs. Sterling City ISD is an “A” rated district. The District maintains small student teacher ratios and offers an Education Foundation Scholarship to all high school graduates for post-secondary education. Additionally, Sterling City ISD is a one-to-one technology district with experienced staff and exceptional facilities. Qualifications of Applicant Education/Certification: Master’s degree from accredited university Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser Special Knowledge/Skills: Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to implement policy and procedures Ability to interpret data Excellent organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills Experience: Two years experience as a classroom teacher
