As the leader of May Elementary, you will be the architect of our youngest Tigers' educational foundation, fostering an environment where academic excellence meets a supportive, small town community spirit. Key Responsibilities Instructional Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of innovative, data driven instructional programs that meet the needs of all learners. Culture & Climate: Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and positive school environment for students, staff, and parents. Personnel Management: Recruit, mentor, and retain high quality educators; provide frequent, actionable feedback through the T-TESS evaluation process. Community Engagement: Act as a visible ambassador for May ISD, building strong partnerships with families and local stakeholders. Operations: Manage the campus budget, master schedule, and daily facilities operations with precision and transparency. Candidate Profile We are looking for a leader who is: Relational: Someone who develops relationships with students and is accessible to staff. Decisive: Able to make tough calls with the best interest of students at heart. Growth-Oriented: Committed to continuous improvement and staying current on literacy and numeracy best practices. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or related field. Valid Texas Principal Certificate (or equivalent). Minimum of 3 years of successful classroom teaching experience.
