Sterling City ISD is seeking to fill an Elementary teaching position with an emphasis in Mathematics. This would be a split assignment with two separate sections switching with a partner RLA teacher. The class average would only be about 12 students in each section. Sterling City ISD is a rural school district located in a ranching community 45 miles west of San Angelo, Texas. The district is a single-campus with approximately 370 students in PK-12. Sterling City ISD offers employee paid vision and dental insurance, a competitive salary schedule, and an additional $13,200 yearly stipend. STAAR content teachers receive an additional $1, 500 as well. Some district housing may also be available. Parental involvement and community support contribute to the success of the district's academic performance and extracurricular programs. Sterling City continues to be an "A" rated district. The district maintains small student teacher rations and offers an Education Foundation Scholarship to all high school graduates for post-secondary education. SCISD is a one-to-one technology district with exceptional facilities. The district has adopted a hybrid calendar allowing for tutoring and professional development on some Fridays. Qualifications: Valid teacher's certificate. ESL, GT, and STR certifications desired, but not necessary.
