Irion County ISD is seeking a dedicated Secondary English Language Arts teacher to provide students with engaging learning experiences that support their intellectual and academic growth in reading, writing, grammar, and critical thinking. The teacher will plan and deliver instruction aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) while using a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students. Responsibilities include developing effective lesson plans, monitoring and assessing student progress, maintaining positive classroom management, and communicating regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding academic performance. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and campus activities. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and possess a valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate secondary English/Language Arts certification. ESL certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
