Substitute and Schedule: Fill in for teachers or assistants as needed and follow age-appropriate daily schedules. Family Engagement: Build respectful partnerships with families to support child/student success and family well-being. Child Care: Assist with diapering, toileting, and provide supervision during indoor and outdoor activities. Behavior and Communication: Use calm, respectful communication, model correct speech, reinforce positive behavior, and address issues through redirection. Safety and Environment: Follow safety regulations, maintain confidentiality, and ensure a safe environment. Discipline and Guidance: Apply positive child guidance techniques, avoid corporal punishment or harmful methods, and encourage respectful behavior. Meals and Hygiene: Share meals with children, assist with eating and cleaning, and ensure proper hygiene practices. Collaboration and Policies: Follow teacher instructions, comply with center policies, maintain professional confidentiality, and support ESC Region 15’s mission and objectives. Professional Development and Technology: Meet proficiency in required technology and incorporate it into daily tasks, with a focus on continuous growth. Other Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership, ensuring compliance with ESC policies and procedures.
