Position: High School Science Teacher Responsibilities: Science Teacher (Grades 9-12): Develop and deliver an engaging science curriculum aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for high school levels. Create a positive, safe, and challenging learning environment that fosters curiosity and critical thinking in science. Implement a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of all students. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum and instructional practices. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration regarding student performance and well-being. Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with science education trends. Adhere to all district policies and procedures. Serve as a positive role model for all students. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Valid Texas teaching certification in Science (Grades 9-12 or appropriate grade levels). Demonstrated competency in assigned subject area(s). Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior effectively. Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching a variety of science disciplines (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, IPC). Salary: Commensurate with experience and May ISD salary schedule.
